Let’s start with the Chevy SUV. The new Tahoe is available with a choice between two V-8 engines as well as a turbo-diesel option. The standard 5.3-liter V-8 engine achieves 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, while the available 6.2-liter V-8 engine kicks things up a notch to 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. For the diesel lovers, the new Tahoe is available with a 3.0-liter Duramax® turbo-diesel engine that generates an impressive 460 pound-feet of torque. 

The new Chevy Tahoe is available with a first-in-class four-corner air-ride adaptive suspension that enhances comfort. The system can raise the vehicle for more clearance or lower it to enhance aerodynamics and improve fuel efficiency. It’s also equipped with the StabiliTrak® electronic stability-control system with traction control for optimal handling in emergency maneuvers. 

Meanwhile, the new Ford Expedition only has a 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V-6 engine to offer. The standard engine configuration hits 380 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, while the available high-output configuration bumps the numbers up to 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. 

The new Ford Expedition also offers trailering technology like the available Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ 2.0. This feature will steer your trailer in reverse with the turn of a knob. It also includes trailer reverse guidance with enhanced camera views that give you added peace of mind while backing up or pulling ahead. 

Both of these full-size SUVs are paired with 10-speed automatic transmissions, hill-start assist and hill-descent control, and trailer sway control. When properly equipped, the new Tahoe can tow up to 7,600 pounds while the Expedition offers 6,000 pounds.
